Roulette in general is an easy game. Here, you also start by placing bets. Players can place their bets on one or more of the numbers on the table. The easiest posibilities are also known as ‘Chances Simples’. These are to the left and right of the numbers. Left is ‘Passe’ (numbers from 19 until 36), ‘Pair’ or black. Right is ‘Manque’ (numbers from 1 until 18), ‘Impair’ of red.

With black and red people mean the color of the number in the roulette. Which is randomly black or red. If the ball stops on ‘0’, players who placed their bets on ‘Chances Simples’ will get half of their bets back. The more rare placed bets are, for example, placed on three numbers in a horizontal row (traversale pleine). Next there is a bet on a column (colonne). Three other numbers that are displayed on the left and right of the numbers are ‘Première’ (12P), ‘Moyenne’ (12M) and ‘Dernière’ (12D). These are also called ‘douzaines’. The first spot is for the numbers 1 to 12, the second for 13 to 24 and the last is for 25 to 36. There are also some ‘special bets’. One of those is the so–called ‘carré’: 4 numbers in a square. Players can bet on two numbers (cheval) on the table. On the condition that the bets are placed vertical of eachother. Last there is the ‘traversale simple’–option. Players can bet on 2 rows that are connected to eachother. When all bets are placed, the roulette wheel will be spun by the croupier (also called the dealer) and the ball is thrown in. The ball will land on a number and this number is called the ‘winning number’. The players who have placed their bets on this number – or the property of this number – win.

Payout
The bets that are more correct, obviously get paid out more. A simple number is 36 times worth the amount of the bet. Then there are the 2 vertically connected numbers (cheval) with 1 to 17 payout.

Then there is the ‘traversale pleine’ (3 numbers in a row) which is paid out 1 to 11. Next there is ‘carré’, with 1 to 8. The ‘traversale simple’ can make you win 6 times the original bet. Then there are the spots on the table that give you more chance to win. The ‘douzaines’ (12 numbers in a square) and the ‘colonnes’ (12 numbers in a column) will pay out 1 to 2. The ‘Chances Simples’ can bring up twice the original bet.
